About

The main entrance to Westcott Ridge is off I-26 Exit 97 at the corner of Westcott Ridge Rd and Broad River Rd.  Construction in Westcott Ridge began in 2008 and completed in 2018.  During that time improvements have been made that have added to the pleasure and value of living in our neighborhood. The homeowners association was turned over to the homeowners in May 2019. There are 5 elected HOA Board Members that serve terms of 3 years each. The HOA Board exists to enforce our Covenants, By-laws, Architectural Guidelines and Operating procedures in order to preserve, protect, and enhance the investment of each homeowner.

Many homeowners and families enjoy the Westcott Ridge pool and covered cabana.  Entry to the pool is by electronic key card at the gate. The pool has a shallow section with a waterfall for toddlers while the main section has depths of 3 feet to just under 6 feet. The covered cabana includes kitchen access and can be reserved for parties and gatherings for a small fee.

Near the pool is a playground with a playset including monkey bars, slides, fire pole, and shaded areas for sitting.

The neighborhood is lined with sidewalks.  For those that prefer natural turf, there are several areas where you can walk through the natural areas or around the ponds. Street lights make it possible to walk and socialize in the neighborhood after dark.

Throughout the year you will find neighbors planning social activities, from ice cream socials, golf cart parades to neighborhood garage sales. There is plenty of activity going on. A social committee is planned to help coordinate social activities for all ages around the neighborhood.

One of the many responsibilities of the HOA board is to review request for architectural review and violation reports. Residents are encouraged to visit the members section of this website to review requirements and complete your application before you begin any work that would require prior review and approval. The HOA Covenants document contains the rights and responsibilities of each member and the responsibilities of the HOA to its members as well as information about architectural restrictions, property use restrictions, property maintenance standards, and more.

Homeowners associations are becoming increasingly common in neighborhoods throughout the country. Complaints are often heard regarding the strictness of homeowners associations and the rules that homeowners must follow, however, it is important to understand the advantages that come with involvement in an HOA too.  Read this article from Henderson Properties to learn more:  Advantages to Having an HOA
